About

If I profess with the loudest voice and clearest exposition every portion of the Word of God except precisely that little point which the world and the devil are at that moment attacking, I am not confessing Christ, however boldly I may be professing Him. Where the battle rages there the loyalty of the soldier is proved; and to be steady on all the battle front besides, is mere flight and disgrace if he flinches at that point.” ~ Martin Luther

CA stands committed to speaking God’s truth in love and to defending it in the marketplace of ideas without regard to the day’s ever-changing notion of acceptability. We take seriously Paul’s soon-to-be dying words to Timothy where he commands the young pastor to, “preach the word; be ready in season and out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort, with great patience and instruction. For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but wanting to have their ears tickled, they will accumulate for themselves teachers in accordance to their own desires,…” (2 Timothy 4:2-3)

To preach (proclaim God’s truth) when in season is simple. To do so when God’s truth seems “out of season” as many consider it today is the greater challenge. The brother of our Lord Jesus sums up who we are when he writes, “Beloved, while I was making every effort to write you about our common salvation, I felt the necessity to write to you appealing that you contend earnestly for the faith which was once for all handed down to the saints.” (Jude 3)
